Making Connections
“Can you teach me English?” This is the question we hear nearly every time someone learns we are from the U.S. After hearing this question time and time again, we realized that God was leading us to use this felt need to connect with people and share the Gospel with them.
The result of this realization is the English Language Center (ELC). We have begun setting up a facility where we can teach English to young adults and professionals.
Of course, English is not all they will be learning. Through personal interactions with us as well as formal lessons built into the curriculum, they will also be learning the story of God’s glorious plan of redemption from Creation to Christ.
Our goal at the ELC is to lead students to Christ as we teach them the English language. Through their desire for English, we will have a platform for ongoing interactions with people we might otherwise never know.
We are putting the finishing touches on the Center and hope to begin teaching in late October. Please keep us in prayer as we begin this new venture for God’s glory.
Will you help us?
You, too, can be involved in this ministry. First, you can help us fund the Center. We have rented a building and begun outfitting it for classes. We have purchased items like desks, chairs, and a chalkboard. We also need many other items such as textbooks, solar electric equipment, and a video projector. Our total start-up expenses are projected to be around $10,000. If you feel God leading you to support this project, you can give to our English Language Center project at this link:

Another need is for books to stock the library at the English Center. We will consolidate these books into boxes in Ohio in preparation for shipping them to Guinea. We would welcome donations of new or used English books of all types and levels such as children’s, young adult, and adult books, fiction and nonfiction, Christian books, textbooks, classical, and contemporary literature. By keeping a stock of Christian books in English on hand for the students, they will be learning about God as they practice their English!

Help Wanted
We are also looking for workers for the English Language Center. We have two specific job openings available, but are willing to work with you if you feel led to participate in some other way either short-term or long-term. We have already seen some interest in these positions, but still have a desire for more workers. Click the links below to learn more:

Pray for Us
As always, please keep us in your prayers as we seek to share the Good News with those who have not heard through the English Language Center.
